Michael D. Blostein

 

Michael D. Blostein is an in-demand low brass performer, educator, conductor, and composer in the Capitol District. His compositions have been performed in many area venues, including middle and high schools, colleges, universities, community groups and by solo artists. He is the High School band, orchestra, and jazz ensemble director in the Averill Park School District. His ensembles there have earned regional and national honors. Michael has degrees in music education and composition from the Crane School of Music, the University of Arizona, Villanova University, and The Julliard School. He has proficiency in a multitude of styles and genres, and a reputation for high quality work. He has worked with musicians from all walks of life and all levels of experience. He maintains a private studio from his East Greenbush home. Hours are flexible and lessons can be scheduled for 30 or 60 minute time slots.
